Building Fire

On 9/3/20 at 0145hrs, Good-Will and mutual aid were dispatched to 314 Bay West Boulevard for an Apartment Fire. The Engine, Chief, and Asst. Chief made an immediate response.
Chief 18 arrived with Smoke Showing from a 2 story Residential-over-Commercial. Engine 18 arrived and operated as the First Due Engine. Crews operated in deteriorating conditions to complete searches of all apartments before an evacuation order was given.
The fire was extinguished and overhaul performed. The fire went to 2 alarms, including a Tanker-Task-Force due to the lack of water supply. One minor injury was sustained to a firefighter. Chief 18 held the New Castle Command.
First Alarm Assignment: Engines 18, 12, 15, 29, 22. Ladders 28 and 12, and Rescue 20.
Working Alarm Upgrade: Ambulance 32, Medic 2.
Second Alarm Assignment: Engine 17, 14, 23 and Tower 11, Ambulance 12, Medic 1, St. Francis Hospital Rehab Unit.
Tanker Task Force: Tankers 19, 29, 26, and Chester County 25.
Chief 18, Deputy 18, Assistant Chief 18, Battalion 3, and Deputy 12.
Regional Cover Ups were placed to provide coverage while units operated.
