Early Morning House Fire in Delaware City

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

Early Wednesday morning, Ladder 18 was alerted to assist Delaware City Volunteer Fire Company, at a house fire on Clinton Street. First arriving units reported advanced fire conditions and a subject trapped in the basement. Ladder 18 arrived as the first due special service. The inside team from Ladder 18 met up with the crews of Squad 15, Rescue Engine 29-6, and Engine 6 in the basement. Aggressive searches in deteriorating conditions were preformed. One victim was located and removed from the structure. Crews operated for several hours before clearing.
