Engine 18 Responds to Hotel Fire and Crash in Christiana

This afternoon, Engine 18 was alerted to assist Christiana on a Multi-Residential Fire at the TownePlace Suite's hotel. Engine 18 arrived and secured Engine 23's water supply and the crew from Engine 18 was assigned to search the fire floor and the three lower floors with Ladder 6. The crews completed the searches with negative results. Once placed under control, Engine 18 was cleared from the fire and responded to an MVC on Harmony Road at the railroad crossing. BLS units on scene evaluated three patients and transported one. The crew cleaned debris out of the roadway and controlled traffic. The scene was turned over to Delaware State Police and units cleared.
