Small Fire in the Local

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

Just before 9pm on Tuesday April 19, Company 18 and the East Side box were alerted to the unit block of Brylgon Ave for a Residential Fire. Engine 182 laid out from the bottom of the street and arrived to find a single story home with nothing evident. Shortly after making access to the home, the Engine officer reported smoke showing. Rescue Engine 22 arrived and assisted with the stretch and locating the fire in the basement. Ladder 18 arrived and completed searches. Engine 20 assisted with ventilation. Crews operated for approximately one hour before clearing. The incident was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshall's Office.
