Rescue 18 is a 1995 Pierce Dash Rescue/Pumper with room for 8 firefighters. The body of the unit is stainless steel with an aluminum cab area. The pumper part of the engine carries 500 gallons of water and a 50 gallon foam tank, a 1250 single stage Waterous fire pump, 1000 ' of 4" supply line,two 1 3/4" fire attack lines, One 1 3/4" dedicated foam line, a pre-piped master stream device, and a full compliment of hose fittings. Also, the unit is equipped with 8 sets of breathing apparatus, forcible entry and small tools, a 24 foot and 14 foot ladders. The rescue part of the unit carries a full set of "Holmatro" hydraulic rescue tools, first aid equipment, rope, harnesses and gear for low angle rope rescues. Additionally, equipment is carried such as chain saws, cut saws, and vent saws. Also, a full compliment of air powered tools and electric rescue tools. The unit also is equipped with a 15KW hydraulic generator, and a 600W light tower. This unit can also serve the dual purpose of a fire attack engine or rescue truck.
In March of 2016, Rescue 18 was sold to the Pitcarn Hose Company of the Pittsburg area in PA.
