Boat Ramp Update
Sunday, March 5, 2023
Another week, another boat ramp update!
Crews have been working through the tide cycles to finish the set up of the dewatering pumps and drain the water from the area. Also during the low tide cycles, the crews are “sealing” any leaks with foam to stop the seeping of water. Progressively, the dunnage and gill used to create the crane platform will be removed and the existing boat ramp dug out. Once that is completed, the area will be framed out for rebar and concrete pours.
Reminder, the areas inside the snow fencing and barricades are closed to the public to ensure a safe work zone. Work will be stopped and delayed if unauthorized personnel are inside the work zone. This creates a hazard to the individual and the workers. If you see a concern with blown over signage or fence, or if you see someone where they shouldn’t be, contact Good Will via social media, by phone at 302-328-2211 ext 0, or stop by the station or dial 911 for immediate/in progress emergencies.
