On Friday 3/24 at 2:05pm, Engine 18 was alerted to assist Holloway Terrace Fire Co. on a house fire in 200 Block of Keizer Place in Collins Park. Chief 18 was on the road in the area and was first arriving, reporting fires in two houses. Engine 18 arrived as the second due engine, securing the water supply for the first arriving engine and deploying one line into the house on the left and an additional line to control the fire between the two houses. The fire was brought under control within approximately 20 minutes with significant overhaul and investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office. Units operated for approximately 2 1/2 hours before clearing.
