Confined Space Rescue in Holloway Terrace

On Monday afternoon, Ladder 18 was alerted as a part of the box alarm for a confined space rescue for a worker trapped in a tank on Lambson Lane in Holloway Terrace. Ladder 18 arrived as the first specialty unit and assisted in setting up rope systems and preparing the stokes basket. Rescuers entered the space and assessed the patient finding him unconcious in an empty tractor trailer tanker. The patient was palced in a harness and removed from the tank by members of the NCC Special Operations Team, Engine 223, Engine 205, and Ladder 18. The patient was then lowered down the the reamining crew from Ladder 18 who placed the patient in the stokes basket and removed him to the decon area. The crew operated for one hour at the scene.
