First Due Truck for Fire on the Roof at Lowes

Just after 11am, a box alarm was dispatched for the Lowes in Minquadale for a report of a fire on the roof. Ladder 18 made the response. Upon the arrival of Engine 22, the officer reported smoke showing. Ladder 18 arrived shortly after and set up on the "A" side of the building and set the aerial to the roof. The crews ascended the ladder along with an engine crew advancing a handline up the aerial. Crews found a HVAC unit and the area around it on fire being fed by natural gas. Crews worked to extinguish the fire and cut the burnt roof areas to check for extension. Ladder 18 operated for just under an hour.
