While crews were cleaning the units and placing them back into a ready state after today’s fire, the Box Alarm was transmitted for the William Penn Village Apartments. Engine, Squad, and Chief 18 made a quick response. Upon arrival, the Engine secured the water supply and stretched a line to the second floor to investigate where they were met with a smoke condition. They forced a door to the apartment and found a kitchen fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and the searches proved negative. The incident was placed under control in under 15 minutes and units made themselves available.
In addition to the fires today, the crews handled two motor vehicle crashes on Frenchtown Road.
