Just before noon, the Box Alarm was transmitted for the u it block of Ferris Ct in Beaver Brook Crest. Engine 18 responded quickly. While enroute, multiple units reported smoke visible from a distance. Upon arrival, Engine 18 laid out from the hydrant on the block and found a two story home involved in fire. The engine driver placed the deck gun in service while the crew stretched a handline. Once in place the crew knocked down some additional fire on the outside before moving into the home and attacking the fire on the second floor. During the suppression effort, there was a collapse of the front of the home. The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes and units operated for approximately 4 hours.
