Overturned Tractor Trailer South of Dobbinsville

Just after noon on February 6, the company was alerted to a Property Damage (PD) MVC. Upon responding, Engien 18-6 was advised that this was an overturned tractor trailer. Upon arrival, the crew found the tractor trailer on its side with the driver out of the vehicle. The crews becan to control the fluids leaking from the fuel tank and motor areas and DNREC was requested to respond due to the fluids leaking from the tractor. The crew from 18-6 stood by with DNREC and the police until the hazards were mitigated. Engine 18-6 then cleared, turning the scene over to New Castle City Police and the recovery company.
