National Night Out

On Wednesday August 1st, members assisted the New Castle City Police with hosting the first annual National Night Out in New Castle. Both departments along with community groups from all over set up on Battery Park at the base of Delaware Street for the event. The fire company had a full display of fire and EMS equipment set up including the Lucas CPR device, AED, and portable suction until along with fire gear, air packs, and hand tools. Crews also set up an area where visitors could operate a hand line off of the fire hydrant and spray water into the river. During the event, Engine 18, Ladder 18, and Command 18 were staffed for the district along with the EMS Bike Team for the event.
