Extinguished Kitchen Fire

In the afternoon of Thursday December 22, 2016, Good Will and mutual aid units were alerted to a Residential fire in the unit block of William Penn Square. While responding, Holloway Terrace Chief 20 arrived and reported a kitchen fire that had been extinguished by the resident. Engine 18 arrived and investigated along with the first due special service company (Minquadale Rescue Engine 22-6). A18 also responded for an injury. Two residents were transported to local hospitals for injuries. Crews overhauled the kitchen area and checked for extension before clearing.
