Wednesday, April 6, 2016

On 4/6/2016, Chief Robinson and the Officers and Members of the fire company officially placed Engine 18-2 into service after the company meeting. Members gathered outside after the meeting and ceremoniously "pushed" the new engine into quarters. Chief Emeritus Grover P. Ingle was in the drivers seat backing in the engine.

Engine 18-2 is a 2016 Pierce Arrow XT Pumper that features a 1500GPM pump, 750 gallon water tank, and 3.1kW generator. The engine has five preconnected hand lines (2 x 150', 2 x 200', 1 x 400'), 700' of 2 1/2" hose, and 1200' of 4" supply hose. The engine carries basic hand tools as well as vehicle rescue equipment, EMS gear, RIT Equipment, and various other items.

Engine 18-2 is the companies first new piece of firefighting apparatus in twenty years.
