Tower 18

On December 7th 2022, on the 115th anniversery of the Good Will Fire Company, Tower 18 was placed into service. Tower 18 (#36395) is a 2022 Pierce Ascendant 100’ Tower Ladder, mounted on an Arrow XT chassis. The unit is equipped to seat 6 firefighters, and has a 100’ ladder with an operating
platform affixed to the end. The platform of Tower 18 has a load limit of 1000Lbs of persons and equipment. The water way is rated to flow up to 2000 GPM from the manual deluge gun on the basket. The unit carries a variety of forcible entry, ventilation, gas detection, extrication, and rescue equipment. 

Tower 18 is powered by a Cummins X15 605HP motor with an Allison transmission. The apparatus has an overall length of 43' 8" and a wheelbase of 262". The aerial has a 100' vertical reach and a 93' horizontal reach. While all the scene lighting on the Tower is powered by 12V supply from the truck, the apparatus is equipped with a 6kW Harrison PTO driven generator.
