MVC with Entrapment on Frenchtown Road

This afternoon, crews were alerted to Frenchtown Road in the area of Amazon.com for a reported Motor Vehicle Collision with multiple injuries. Engine 18 was on the air and responded immediately. Upon arrival, the crew began to triage the four patients and determined two to be trapped. New Castle County Medic 2 was added to the incident while crews worked to extricate. A total of two ALS and two BLS patients were transported by Ambulances 18, 20, 23, and 28 with Medic 2’a crew splitting up to provide care. The crews operated for 40 minutes. The roadway was closed during the incident and until the vehicles and debris could be removed.
